Otto Kerner Jr

Illinois Governor 1961-1968

Known to be Daley's Governor, and son-in-law of Anton Cermak, Otto Kerner went from the Governorship to a federal appellate judgeship in 1968. He would also be convicted as a federal appellate judge, sentenced in 1973 to three years in prison for conspiracy, tax evasion, perjury, and mail fraud. Kerner would soon be released because of his ill health. In 1975 he died from lung cancer.1
