Saul Alinsky

Born 1909, Died 1972

Saul Alinksy was a reformer who saw action as the only means for change. Having studied criminology at the University of Chicago, Alinksy would go on to create the Back of the Yards Neighborhood Council. Their direct action included boycotts, sit ins, and demonstrations. Eventually becoming a revered figure by the far left, he organized people in other cities though his Industrial Areas Foundation.1
